My Approach
My approach to counseling emphasizes the importance of communication, empathy, and mutual respect. I start with a biblical foundation and incorporate a variety of evidence-based techniques to help clients develop these skills and resolve conflicts in a healthy and productive manner. I walk with them on a journey to discover the masterpiece they truly are.
A Little About Ms Tina
Since starting in 2015, many young children, from pre-k through adolescents, have known me as Ms Tina. And to my many adult clients, I'm simply Tina.
I graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Social Psychology from Park University and followed it up with summa cum laude honors with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. After completing residency at Mountain Youth Academy, I served clients in residential, non-profit and community healthcare settings.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Tennessee. With a strong and diverse level of practice, expertise in several clinical treatment methodologies, along with personal challenges and successes in my own marriage of 30+ years, I feel well equipped to serve the clients I welcome into MasterPeace Therapy. But the greatest qualification I have is humbly answering God's call to use the gift He gave me to shine a light to those struggling with dark trials.
